Trend reports pop up hourly and there's an expert named every 20 seconds. But one thing we at Social Cap have found to be true is the need for consistent online interaction and management. Here are some simple tips to remember when planning your social media strategy:
Have a plan. Whenever you do your weekly outline of things to get done, give yourself an idea of something to post for the social media schedule you follow. For example, designate certain days of the week for a particular topic. This is meant to be a guideline so don't feel restricted to only staying that course however, as real time events and opportunities to engage should take precedence.
Show support. Do so for other brands, similar businesses, local connections--you name it. Spend a bit of time daily liking, commenting, and following people and pages to keep your engagement at its best.
Stay consistent. It's serves you well to interact often. You will see this effort return on the forefront of your account profiles and also in your various analytic reports and in your reach. Nobody is saying post nonsense just to post something, but instead go back to tip #1 here and remember to have an idea of what you will post for the designated times you factor into your campaigns.
